Rebuilding Organizational Trust

After watching the headlines and layoffs of the last couple of months, it's no surprise that trust in organizations is down.
Working with individuals and companies to help their leaders find their unique leadership voice, I've seen the power in each of the items mentioned in this article from Gallup as ways to rebuild trust.
ššš§šš šš«š¢šš„ šš®šš”šš§šš¢šš¢šš². It's become an overstated truth, people leave bad managers. Authenticity is key to building trust. Being authentic goes WAY beyond just telling the truth, it goes to the core of who you are every day.
šš®š„šš®š«š šØš šš«šš§š¬š©šš«šš§šš². While related, authenticity is about YOU, while transparency is about the company. Being transparent and upfront creates trust at the organizational level.
ššØš¦š©šššš§šš. In Stephen M. R. Covey's "The Speed of Trust" Competence is shown as the visible part of the Tree of Trust. It's the part everyone can see. Do you "walk the walk"? Do you hold yourself and others accountable? Do you listen and invite others into the conversation? Do you lead with purpose and vision?
